MTP - Message transfer part. Part of SS7 that covers OSI Layers 1 through 3.

SCCP - Signaling connection control part. Defined in OSI Layers 3 and 4. The SCCP is a user of the SS7-MTP 3 and is used by
GSM on almost all NSS interfaces, including the A-interface.

STP – Signaling Transfer Point (SS7)
TCAP - Transaction capabilities application part. (layer 4,5,6)
